Registration is open for our 2020 Fall season.
It is going to be different. Please take time to read through the information, and reach out to the organization if you have any questions..
Given the pandemic and the ever changing rules and restrictions from the Government of Alberta, Alberta Health, and our league, there will likely be changes as we go. The decisions that the Board made took everything into account from the governing bodies, input from the coaching staff, and parent surveys. The information provided below is based on what the current rules are, as we have no insight on what may change.
Novice Flag: There are no plans for this division this year. It is disappointing, but at this time it is not something we can do.
For Atom, Peewee and Bantam:
We will be creating a 2 team cohort with Wetaskiwin at each age division. Between the 2 clubs, we can create a 50 person cohort for each division. (25 per team including field staff). Registration for each team will be capped at 20 players.
We will be playing 6-a-side tackle.
Games will alternate between Wetaskiwin and Camrose each weekend. A schedule will be provided once we finalize it. Start date for practices will be confirmed in the next or day or two. There are some things to sort out, so we are taking either a one or two week break. Then we have our Safe contact week with helmet only practices.
On game days, there will be restrictions on arrival times and players and spectators will have to clear the field/stands immediately following the games. Full details will be provided closer to the first games.
- Atoms will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm on the west side of the track field at ECCHS.
- Peewees will practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm on the east side of the track field at ECCHS.
- Bantams will practice on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30pm at the track field of ECCHS. A third practice day will be added in as needed.
You will be added to the TeamSnap team for the fall season. Communication will happen through the app as usual.
Players will need to be fitted for equipment in the next week so we can start practices soon. We have scheduled times for each team to get fitted. We know this is really short notice, but please do your best to make it to the appropriate session. For players who already have equipment from participating in winter camps, please schedule a time as well, we have to check their equipment before season and there are documents the parent/guardian has to sign.
There will be strict rules to follow while getting fitted. In your confirmation email once you register, there will be a link to book your time. When you arrive for your scheduled time, please stay at your vehicle until the registration table is open, then come up. Please keep the required 2 meter distance from our volunteers and others players and families at all times.
We will be collecting the $300 equipment deposit cheques. Have them filled out prior to arrival. Made out to Camrose Buffaloes Football Association. There will be a couple forms to sign as we require hard copies of certain things.
Fitting times (you must schedule your time by following the link once you register)
- Bantam: Tues Aug 4, 5:30-8:30
- Peewee: Wed Aug 5, 5:30-8:30
- Atom: Thurs Aug 6, 5:30-8:30
Registration is $150 per player. If you participated in the July camp, you will receive a discount code for $30 off the season registration.
We will not be collecting volunteer or fundraising cheques this year. We do have several opportunities for parents/guardians to volunteer, we will trust that everyone will pitch in as needed so all our kids can play.
We will not be doing our usual cash raffle. We do however have 2 drop off bottle drives scheduled. Again, we trust everyone will participate to help with these. Details will come out in a few days.
